The Bay Area Association of Medical Instrumentation,(formerly known as Suncoast Biomedical Society) was founded in the 1990's, by a group of Biomed technicians and Clinical engineers to serve the Tampa Bay area (Tampa, Clearwater, St. Petersburg). Since re-established in 2005, BAAMI has been helping the local Biomedical Technicians to be better prepared by exchanging information, ideas and technical training during monthly meetings and other fun activities.

2022 Meetings
After a 2 year hiatus, BAAMI is back!
After our last meeting in February 2020, we needed to cancel all our activities until March 2022 due to the Covid restrictions.
During our most recent meeting in May 18, 2022, we had the privilege to have a group of 40 technicians, Biomed students, and vendors enjoying dinner during a presentation sponsored by Teleflex. A great way to network, learn about new technologies, and celebrate HTM week!
